Based in Madison, ME, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship empowers passionate individuals to champion a fair and sustainable food system through hands-on training and advocacy. This immersive fellowship at the Allegheny Farm provides essential education on organic food systems, encouraging participants to grow and distribute diverse crops while implementing educational initiatives tailored to health and ecological literacy. Fellows engage with community partners to foster school gardens, support local farmers markets, and enhance access to healthy foods. The program includes a six-month residential experience followed by a Community Action Year where Fellows apply their skills with regional non-profits. We believe in making our fellowship accessible, hence tuition is waived, allowing all dedicated individuals the opportunity to contribute to a socially, environmentally, and economically just food landscape. Interested applicants should complete their forms by March, with the experience commencing in May.
