The Maine Senior FarmShare Program is dedicated to enhancing the lives of income-eligible older adults in New Gloucester, ME, by connecting them with local farmers and providing fresh, nutritious produce at no cost. Each growing season, seniors have the opportunity to receive a $50 share of locally grown fruits and vegetables, fostering both health and community engagement. Enrollment begins in April, and seniors are encouraged to sign up directly with participating farmers, though shares are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
