At the University of Maine Cooperative Extension's Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Oakland, ME, we are dedicated to empowering income-eligible adults with children through invaluable nutrition and health education. Our program, available for those eligible for SNAP, WIC, or Head Start, is designed to help participants learn practical skills such as cooking nutritious recipes, making healthy food choices, saving money at the grocery store, ensuring food safety, and increasing physical activity. While our offices are currently closed to prioritize community health, we are committed to continuing our essential services through remote EFNEP nutrition education classes, available in both one-on-one and small group settings.
