The Maine Senior FarmShare Program in Orrington, ME strives to enhance the health and well-being of income-eligible older adults by providing them with access to fresh, local produce at no cost. Each summer, eligible seniors have the opportunity to receive a $50 share of seasonal fruits and vegetables directly from participating Maine farmers, fostering both nutrition and community support. Enrollment begins each April, and shares are limited, available on a first-come, first-served basis. We are dedicated to ensuring that our older adults benefit from wholesome, locally-sourced food, while also supporting our invaluable local farming community.
