Maine Harvest Bucks (MHB), part of the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets, is dedicated to enhancing food assistance in Pittsfield, ME, by providing critical nutrition incentives to low-income shoppers. Our program enables participants to receive $5 in Maine Harvest Bucks for every $10 spent using SNAP/EBT at local farmers’ markets, community-supported agriculture (CSA) farms, and farm stands offering fresh, local produce. This helps families access healthy food while supporting local agriculture. Participants can utilize their earned Bucks immediately or save them for future use, ensuring flexibility and ongoing access to vital resources.
