The Maine Senior FarmShare Program, located in Poland, ME, is dedicated to providing income-eligible older adults with access to fresh local produce at no cost. By partnering with local Maine farmers, this program offers seniors the chance to enjoy a $50 share of seasonal fruits and vegetables during the growing season. Each year, seniors can sign up directly with participating farmers starting in April, although shares are limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. Our mission is to support the health and well-being of older adults by connecting them with nutritious food options, promoting local agriculture, and fostering a sense of community.
