The Maine Senior FarmShare Program is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of income-eligible older adults in Presque Isle, ME, by providing them with access to fresh, local produce at no cost during the growing season. Through partnerships with local Maine farmers, eligible seniors have the opportunity to receive a $50 share of quality produce, ensuring they can enjoy healthy foods that nourish their bodies. The enrollment process begins each April, and seniors are encouraged to sign up directly with participating farmers; however, shares are limited and distributed on a first come, first serve basis. While meeting the eligibility requirements is essential, it does not guarantee a FarmShare, reflecting our commitment to support as many seniors as possible within our community.
