The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Raymond, ME, is dedicated to empowering income-eligible adults with children through free nutrition and health education. By focusing on practical skills, EFNEP participants learn how to prepare nutritious recipes, make healthy food choices, save money at the grocery store, ensure food safety, and adopt a more active lifestyle. In light of current health concerns, we have adapted our program to offer distance learning options, providing personalized nutrition education either one-on-one or in small groups.
