The Maine Senior FarmShare Program is dedicated to enhancing the lives of income-eligible older adults in South Portland, ME, by providing free access to fresh, locally grown produce from dedicated Maine farmers during the growing season. Each year, seniors can sign up directly with participating farmers starting in April, allowing them the opportunity to receive a share valued at $50 at no cost. While shares are available on a first-come, first-served basis, the program aims to support senior nutrition and foster connections to local agriculture. We encourage seniors to apply early, as eligibility does not guarantee a FarmShare.
