The Maine Senior FarmShare Program in Union, ME, is dedicated to enhancing food assistance for income-eligible older adults by connecting them with local farmers to receive a share of fresh produce valued at $50 at no cost during the growing season. Each year, seniors can sign up directly with participating farmers starting in April to enjoy nutritious, locally-sourced fruits and vegetables. Please note that shares are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee a FarmShare, underscoring our commitment to serving those in need while fostering community connections.
