The Maine Senior FarmShare Program is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of income-eligible older adults in Windham, ME, by providing access to fresh, local produce at no cost. Each year, during the growing season, we connect seniors with local Maine farmers, allowing them to receive a $50 share of nutritious fruits and vegetables that promote healthy eating. Seniors can sign up directly with participating farmers starting in April, but shares are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring timely support for those who qualify.
