Maine Harvest Bucks (MHB), part of the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets, is dedicated to promoting access to nutritious food for low-income families in Yarmouth, ME, through innovative nutrition incentives. For every $10 spent using SNAP/EBT at participating farmers' markets, CSA farms, and local farm stands, participants receive an additional $5 in Maine Harvest Bucks. This initiative not only helps stretch food budgets but also supports local agriculture by encouraging the purchase of fresh, local produce. Participants can redeem their earned Bucks immediately or save them for future use, making nutritious options both accessible and rewarding for the community.
