The New American Club (NAC) in Ann Arbor, MI, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults from foreign backgrounds by offering comprehensive geriatric psychosocial support. Our mission is to empower seniors through a variety of essential services, including case management, housing referrals, and emergency financial assistance. We provide vital support for burial services, transportation options, and interpretation/translation services, ensuring that our clients receive the advocacy they need for immigration and naturalization issues. Additionally, NAC offers English as a Second Language programs, meals-on-wheels referrals, and friendly home visits to foster community connections. Our Professional Clothes Closet and food pantry program are designed to meet both immediate and practical needs. With therapeutic groups and long-term counseling, we promote health education and organize cultural field trips, creating a supportive environment for exploration and learning.
