Located in Burton, MI, the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program is dedicated to empowering individuals at risk for Type 2 diabetes through practical, effective lifestyle changes. Our mission is to equip participants with the knowledge and support they need to achieve two primary goals: a 7% reduction in body weight and an increase in physical activity to 150 minutes weekly. Over the course of a year, participants engage in 25 interactive sessions led by trained Lifestyle Coaches, who foster a collaborative environment for sharing insights on healthier eating, increased physical activity, and sustainable behavior modifications.
