Higher Ground is a compassionate organization dedicated to supporting youth ages 12 to 17 and their families in East Lansing and surrounding areas, including Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties. We offer urgent crisis intervention, non-residential and prevention counseling, and case management to help those in need navigate difficult times. In addition, our temporary housing shelter provides a safe environment while offering valuable resources such as individual counseling focused on personal safety, nutrition, and medication management. Our life skills development programs cover essential topics like communication and employment, as well as specialized support for LGBTQ youth and resources for pregnancy and parenting. With professional staff available 24/7, Higher Ground is ready to provide the help and guidance necessary for youth and families to find their footing and thrive.
