Food Assistance - Summer Meals for Kids in Grand Rapids, MI, is dedicated to supporting children and families in our community by providing essential food assistance during critical times. Our program operates as a Meet Up and Eat Up site when schools are closed, ensuring that underprivileged children receive nutritious, free meals throughout the summer months. In collaboration with the Grand Rapids Public Schools and the USDA, we serve balanced lunches and healthy take-home snacks to help combat food insecurity among the 20,000 children living in poverty in our area. Our mission is not only to meet immediate needs but also to empower families by offering resources and education that foster long-term stability and health.
