At the Detroit Food Zoo in Hamtramck, MI, our Youth Nutrition Workshops empower local youth to embrace the values of healthy eating and community service. Through engaging activities in our gardens, young participants learn vital nutrition education while experiencing the joy of growing their own food. This hands-on approach not only fosters a love for fresh produce but also instills a sense of responsibility as they understand their contributions help feed those in need. We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation's connection to food, encouraging outdoor fun, and promoting well-being through balanced nutrition and practical gardening skills.
