The Skill Building & Supported Employment Program in Hamtramck, MI empowers adults with developmental disabilities by providing essential skills and experiences that challenge societal limitations. Our mission is to foster acceptance and understanding through a variety of programs that include personal care, nutrition education, computer skills, and hobbies like arts and crafts. Participants can engage in volunteer opportunities with the Kiwanis/Aktion Club, learn about personal and community safety, and develop valuable work skills to prepare for employment. With program fees covered for those on Medicaid, we invite individuals to connect with their Supports Coordinator to begin their journey toward greater independence and community involvement.
