At the Detroit Food Zoo in Highland Park, MI, our Youth Nutrition Workshops empower young people by teaching them the vital importance of healthy eating and the joys of gardening. Through hands-on experiences, participants engage in fun outdoor activities while gaining essential nutrition education and understanding how their efforts contribute to alleviating food insecurity in the community. By fostering a connection between gardening and food assistance, we inspire the next generation to embrace a healthier lifestyle while making a positive impact on those in need.
