The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Jenison, MI, is dedicated to empowering individuals to become passionate advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program offers comprehensive organic food system education and fosters hands-on learning experiences at the Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows engage in diverse agricultural practices, community-driven initiatives, and advocacy efforts. With no tuition costs, we strive to ensure accessibility for all participants, allowing them to grow and distribute crops, implement innovative health education, maintain community gardens, and support farmers markets. As Fellows transition from their intensive six-month training to a Community Action Year, they actively collaborate with local non-profits to expand access to nutritious foods and promote food literacy.
