About Guest House Michigan
Founded in 1956, Guest House is a non-profit recovery center specializing in treatment for clergy men and women struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This unique facility takes a holistic, spiritual approach to addressing not only alcohol and drug addictions but also process addictions, compulsive overeating, and other behavioral challenges. The treatment team consists of on-site licensed and certified clinical and spiritual professionals dedicated to supporting clients throughout their recovery journey. Guest House provides a comprehensive continuum of care including medically assisted detox, inpatient treatment, outpatient services, and aftercare programs. All treatment is anchored in the spirituality of the 12-Step recovery model, while incorporating evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eating disorder treatments, and various experiential therapies including fitness, nutrition, recreational, and group and individual counseling. The facility maintains CARF accreditation and accepts both private insurance and self-pay options. Situated on a sprawling 105-acre campus, Guest House offers gender-specific accommodations with private rooms. The thoughtfully designed environment includes meditation rooms, recreational areas, business centers, massage rooms, and fitness facilities at both the men's and women's campuses. Educational workshops focused on nutrition, fitness, and spirituality complement the clinical programming, while specialized services such as Intervention Assistance and Ministry Reentry support the unique needs of their clerical clientele.
