Located in Swartz Creek, MI, the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program is dedicated to empowering individuals at risk for Type 2 diabetes to achieve lasting lifestyle changes. This supportive program focuses on two key goals: safely losing 7% of body weight and gradually increasing physical activity to 150 minutes per week. Over the course of a year, participants engage in 25 informative sessions led by trained Lifestyle Coaches, where they learn practical strategies for healthier eating and proactive behavior modifications.
