Open Door’s Client-Choice Food Pantry in Walled Lake, MI, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to men, women, children, and seniors facing economic hardships. Each month, we offer emergency food and care items to those in need, ensuring access to nutritious groceries for families and individuals who struggle to meet their basic needs. Our services extend to all members of the community, including low-income families, seniors, disabled veterans, and individuals experiencing unemployment or other financial challenges. To access our resources, clients simply need to provide photo identification, proof of residency, and documentation of household income. In addition to food, we also distribute personal care items and offer vouchers for our resale store four times a year. In response to the ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19, we have adapted our services to include drive-up food distribution to prioritize the health and safety of our clients while continuing our mission of support and care without regard to race, color, or religion.
