About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Albertville, MN, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Through our comprehensive program, we provide aspiring Fellows with hands-on training and education focused on creating a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Our Fellowship includes a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where participants learn about organic food systems, manage market-style farming operations, and develop nutritional education initiatives. After this foundational experience, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to implement innovative food distribution channels, maintain community gardens, and support farmer's markets. By removing tuition costs, we ensure that our Fellowship is accessible to all passionate individuals ready to make a positive impact on food equity and ecological literacy in their communities. Applications are accepted through March each year, with programs commencing from May to October.
