About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Big Lake, MN, is dedicated to fostering a just food system through comprehensive training and empowerment. Our program sponsors motivated individuals to become advocates and educators in sustainable food practices. We offer a tuition-free, six-month experiential learning opportunity at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where Fellows gain hands-on experience in organic food systems. During their fellowship, participants work on initiatives that promote community wellness through diversified crop farming, educational programs that enhance food and ecological literacy, and partnerships with local non-profits to increase access to healthy foods. Our commitment to social, environmental, and economic justice ensures that all efforts are geared towards building resilient food systems and supporting community-based solutions. Applications are accepted annually until March, with the Fellowship running from May to October.
