The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Cambridge, MN is dedicated to empowering individuals to champion a food system that is equitable, sustainable, and economically viable. This Fellowship program provides comprehensive organic food system education and promotes accessibility by waiving tuition fees. Selected Fellows engage in hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, where they learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement educational initiatives in innovative healthcare, maintain community gardens, and foster food and ecological literacy in schools. The fellowship includes a transformative six-month immersive training followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their skills through collaboration with regional non-profit organizations to enhance local food access and support farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship taking place from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join in the movement for a just food system.
