Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI) Cottage Grove, MN

About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Cottage Grove, MN, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Our program empowers passionate individuals with comprehensive training in organic food system education, equipping them to advocate for a food network that is socially, environmentally, and economically equitable. During a transformative six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in hands-on learning and community partnerships, focusing on growing and distributing diversified crops on market-style farms, implementing health education, and maintaining community gardens. As part of their journey, Fellows will also mentor future cohorts and participate in community food initiatives to enhance access to healthy foods. We believe that education should be accessible; therefore, we do not charge tuition for this enriching opportunity. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience typically running from May to October.
