Meals on Wheels in Detroit Lakes, MN, is dedicated to delivering hot, nutritious meals straight to the doors of seniors aged 60 and up who are home-bound and unable to cook for themselves. Our mission is to support the health and independence of seniors, allowing them to remain in their homes with dignity. We offer hot meals delivered up to five times a week, as well as frozen meals for weekends, holidays, and other closure days, ensuring that nutritious food is always within reach. With a suggested donation of $5.00 to $8.75 per meal, we never deny service to any senior who cannot afford to pay. Participants can customize their delivery schedules, enjoying daily hot meals or a mix of hot and frozen options on specific days, tailored to fit their needs and preferences.
