The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Elk River, MN, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators in the pursuit of a just food system that thrives socially, environmentally, and economically. We provide a transformative experience through our six-month immersive residency at AMI's Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows engage in hands-on education focusing on organic food systems. Participants gain essential skills to grow and distribute diverse crops, lead educational programs on health and nutrition, and enhance community gardens. Our commitment to accessibility means we do not charge tuition, ensuring that all passionate individuals can join this vital movement. After their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to expand food access and foster community-led initiatives. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October, empowering fellows to create a lasting impact in their communities.
