The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Faribault, MN, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in food justice and sustainability. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, Fellows become empowered advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Our program offers organic food system education, enabling participants to engage in transformative projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops, facilitating innovative health care education, and maintaining community gardens. Throughout the six-month experiential residency at Allegheny Farm, Fellows work to integrate food and ecological literacy into local schools, support farmers markets, and enhance access to healthy foods. By collaborating with regional non-profit organizations during the Community Action Year, they directly contribute to their communities while mentoring future cohorts. We encourage applicants to join us in fostering a more just food system, with a deadline for applications every March, leading to an enriching experience from May to October.
