Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI) Hastings, MN

About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hastings, MN, is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system by empowering participants through hands-on education and community involvement. Our program, which is offered at no cost, trains aspiring leaders to become advocates for social, environmental, and economic justice within the food sector. Fellows engage in a comprehensive six-month experiential learning program at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they cultivate diversified crops, implement innovative health education, maintain community gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. After this immersive training, participants enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to expand access to healthy food, support farmers markets, and strengthen community food initiatives. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March of each year for an experience that runs from May to October, as we work together to create a healthier, more equitable food system.
