About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hibbing, MN, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of champions for a fair and sustainable food system. This empowering program offers selected Fellows a unique opportunity to engage deeply in hands-on organic food system education without the burden of tuition, ensuring accessibility for all passionate individuals. Participants will immerse themselves in a six-month residential training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, developing skills to grow and distribute diverse crops, lead community gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into educational settings. Beyond their fellowship, these advocates will embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to implement vital initiatives that increase access to healthy foods, support farmers markets, and promote innovative health care education. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience occurring from May to October.
