Head Start, located in Hugo, MN, is a no-cost child and family development program dedicated to supporting eligible families in Ramsey County. With a Parent Aware rating that ranks among the highest, we are focused on delivering quality comprehensive services tailored to prepare young children for academic success and fulfilling lives. Our program emphasizes the importance of parental involvement and offers a range of essential services, including early learning, health and development screenings, nutrition services, and family support. In response to COVID-19, our University Head Start center has adapted by providing year-round programming with smaller class sizes for families who qualify for Child Care Assistance or a Pathway 1 Scholarship.
