Situated in Milaca, MN, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating advocates and educators who champion a just food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically equitable. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education without charging tuition, ensuring that our Fellowship remains accessible to all aspiring leaders. Over the course of six months at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows engage in hands-on training, learning to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health-centric educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and teach food and ecological literacy in schools. Following their immersive experience, Fellows participate in a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills in partnership with local non-profits, enhancing food access and supporting initiatives like farmers markets and food coalitions. Applications are accepted until March each year, with experiences typically taking place from May to October, nurturing the next generation of food system advocates in our region.
