About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Moorhead, MN, is dedicated to empowering passionate individuals to advocate for a just food system that respects social, environmental, and economic integrity. Our program provides tuition-free, hands-on education in organic farming practices and sustainable food systems, making it accessible to all. Fellows engage in meaningful initiatives such as growing and distributing diversified crops and hosting educational programs focused on health and nutrition. They are also involved in maintaining community and school gardens, promoting food and ecological literacy, and supporting local farmers' markets and direct-to-consumer channels to enhance access to healthy foods. Over a six-month immersive experience at our farm campus, selected Fellows cultivate vital skills and develop partnerships that extend into a Community Action Year, where they apply their knowledge with regional non-profit organizations to make a tangible impact. Applications are accepted until March, with the Fellowship running from May to October.
