The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mora, MN, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a food system that is just and sustainable. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this immersive program offers hands-on training in organic food systems, empowering Fellows to teach and engage their communities. Without charging tuition, we prioritize accessibility, allowing participants to work on market-style farms, lead educational sessions in innovative healthcare, and enhance local food access through initiatives like community gardens, farmers markets, and food literacy programs. Through a six-month experiential learning period at our Allegheny Farm Campus followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows gain the skills and experience necessary to make a meaningful impact alongside regional non-profit organizations. We invite aspiring advocates to apply by March, with fellowships typically running from May to October.
