Located in New Prague, MN, the CAP Agency’s Food Shelf is dedicated to providing immediate food assistance and vital resources to individuals and families facing challenging times. Our mission is to help our community members bridge gaps during hardships and work towards self-sufficiency. Through our consumer choice model, we empower clients to select the foods that best meet their unique needs, offering a 5 to 7 day supply of emergency food once a month. We require participants to provide a photo ID for an adult and proof of address, such as a recent piece of mail, lease, or utility bill. In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are committed to adjusting our services to ensure accessibility, operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 2:40 pm, and providing home delivery for those unable to visit due to illness or quarantine. The Food Shelf is here to support our neighbors in need with compassion and practical solutions.
