About CSFP: Commodity Supplemental Food Program for Seniors
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program for Seniors (CSFP) in Northfield, MN, is dedicated to enhancing the nutritional health of seniors in our community. Operated under the USDA and managed by the Minnesota Department of Health, our program serves thirteen counties in southeast Minnesota through over 50 distribution sites, including food shelves, senior centers, and senior apartment complexes. Each month, eligible participants receive a thoughtfully curated food package that includes essentials such as American cheese, canned fruits and vegetables, milk, juices, canned meat, cereal, rice or pasta, and plant-based proteins like peanut butter and beans. Alongside food assistance, we provide valuable information on healthy eating and nutrition education, ensuring that seniors have the resources they need to thrive.
