The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Saint Cloud, MN, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of food system advocates through an immersive, hands-on experience. Our program empowers selected Fellows to become educators and champions for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. We offer comprehensive organic food system education, enabling participants to engage in impactful projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops on market-style farms, implementing innovative health care educational sessions, and maintaining community gardens. Our Fellows also delve into food and ecological literacy within schools, support local farmers markets, and develop vital distribution networks to enhance access to healthy foods. The Fellowship features a six-month experiential residency at AMI’s Allegheny Farm, followed by a Community Action Year where they partner with regional non-profit organizations to apply their training and promote sustainable farming practices. With no tuition fees, we ensure that this invaluable experience is accessible to all. Applications are open until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
