The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Saint Michael, MN, is dedicated to cultivating future leaders in sustainable food systems through hands-on education and community engagement. Our program empowers selected Fellows to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. We provide a free, comprehensive training experience that includes organic food system education and practical applications in partnership with local nonprofits. Over six transformative months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in vital activities such as growing diversified crops, managing community and school gardens, conducting health-focused educational sessions, and developing distribution channels to enhance access to nutritious food. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, where they apply their knowledge to foster healthy, resilient communities. Interested applicants can complete their applications by March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
