About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship located in Sauk Centre, MN, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to become advocates and educators for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our fellowship program offers a comprehensive, tuition-free experience focusing on organic food system education, where participants gain hands-on training in growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, and maintaining community gardens. Fellows also learn to integrate food and ecological literacy into educational settings, support local farmers' markets, and develop distribution channels that enhance access to healthy foods. Through a six-month immersive experience at our campus, followed by a Community Action Year collaborating with regional non-profits, we strive to foster the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and community food initiatives. Applications for this transformative opportunity are open until March each year, with the fellowship typically running from May to October.
