About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Sauk Rapids, MN, is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system through the empowerment of passionate individuals. We provide a transformative six-month experiential learning experience at Allegheny Farm, enabling Fellows to engage deeply with organic agriculture, food equity, and ecological practices. Our program emphasizes accessibility by charging no tuition, allowing diverse participants to thrive as educators and advocates. Alongside hands-on training, Fellows cultivate essential skills by collaborating with local nonprofits to grow and distribute diverse crops, lead innovative healthcare education, maintain community and school gardens, and promote food literacy in educational settings. Our mission is not only to enhance individual capacities but also to strengthen community food systems, ensuring everyone has access to healthy, locally sourced food. Applications for the Fellowship are open until March each year, with experiences running from May through October.
