About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Shakopee, MN, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Our program equips selected Fellows with the knowledge and skills necessary to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. We offer a tuition-free Farm and Food Study that fosters accessibility and encourages hands-on learning. During their six-month stay on our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, conducting educational sessions that promote health and well-being, and mentoring the future cohort of agricultural advocates. Following their initial training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with local non-profits to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. We invite passionate individuals to join us in creating resilient food systems, driving community initiatives, and supporting local access to healthy foods. Applications are accepted annually until March, with program experiences spanning from May to October.
