About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in South Saint Paul, MN, is dedicated to cultivating a generation of leaders who champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through an impactful six-month experiential program at Allegheny Farm, our Fellows receive comprehensive organic food system education, empowering them to become advocates and educators in their communities. The Fellowship not only eliminates tuition costs to ensure accessibility but also facilitates practical engagement with local partners on initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health educational sessions, and enhancing community gardens. Additionally, our Fellows play a vital role in promoting food and ecological literacy, supporting farmers markets, and creating distribution channels to increase access to healthy foods. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profits, further enriching the community food systems around them. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship experience running from May to October.
