About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Thief River Falls, MN, empowers passionate individuals to champion a just food system that nurtures social, environmental, and economic well-being. Through comprehensive education on organic food systems, this Fellowship equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to be impactful advocates and educators in their communities. During the six-month experiential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows gain hands-on experience by growing and distributing diversified crops, running educational health initiatives, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food literacy in schools. Their journey continues with a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to enhance access to nutritious food and support sustainable food systems. The Fellowship eschews tuition to ensure accessibility, inviting dedicated individuals to apply by March each year for an enriching experience from May to October.
