The Commodity Supplemental Food Program for Seniors (CSFP) in Winona, MN, is dedicated to enhancing the nutritional health of low-income seniors. As part of the USDA initiative, we serve thirteen counties in southeast Minnesota through our partnership with Channel One, providing access to over 50 distribution sites at local food shelves, senior centers, and senior apartment complexes. Each month, eligible seniors receive nutritious food packages filled with essential items like American cheese, canned fruits and vegetables, juices, milk, canned meats, cereals, rice or pasta, and plant-based proteins such as peanut butter and beans. Alongside food assistance, we offer valuable resources and education about healthy eating to empower our participants. Seniors can conveniently apply for assistance online to ensure they gain access to these vital services.
