The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Oncology Program in Winona, MN, is dedicated to addressing the unique cancer care needs of individuals aged 15 to 30. Our compassionate, multidisciplinary care team collaborates closely with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans that encompass all aspects of the cancer journey—from initial diagnosis through treatment and into recovery. By integrating medical, emotional, and social support, we empower our patients to actively participate in their care alongside experienced specialists from Children’s Minnesota and Allina Health’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Our program is sensitive to the distinct challenges faced during this life stage, including concerns related to work and school reintegration, financial and insurance barriers, and navigating dating and relationships. We also provide opportunities to participate in clinical trials aimed at exploring innovative therapies, enhancing current treatments, and improving life quality for those battling cancer.
