The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Helena, MT, is dedicated to cultivating future leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Our program empowers participants through hands-on training and education in organic food systems, enabling them to become passionate advocates for a just food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable. Fellows engage in the cultivation and distribution of diverse crops, develop educational initiatives in innovative healthcare, and foster community gardens, all aimed at enhancing food and ecological literacy. Throughout their six-month experiential learning at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows work closely with nonprofit partners to implement impactful projects that improve local access to healthy foods, support farmers markets, and strengthen community food coalitions. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility, welcoming diverse individuals committed to transforming food systems. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October each year.
