The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Beach, ND, is dedicated to nurturing passionate individuals who aspire to advocate for a food system grounded in social, environmental, and economic justice. This immersive program offers aspiring leaders the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they will receive comprehensive education on organic food systems without any tuition costs, ensuring accessibility for all. Throughout their journey, Fellows collaborate with local non-profits to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. Through mentorship and community engagement, participants are empowered to develop sustainable distribution channels that enhance access to healthy food, support local farmers' markets, and foster strong community food initiatives. The Fellowship includes a six-month residential training period followed by a transformative Community Action Year, allowing Fellows to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.
