About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Belcourt, ND, is committed to cultivating a just and sustainable food system through empowering individuals to become educators and advocates. We offer a comprehensive program that immerses selected Fellows in organic food system education, equipping them to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, implement innovative educational sessions in healthcare, and nurture community gardens. Our Fellows will enhance food and ecological literacy in schools, support farmers markets, and create pathways for improved access to healthy foods. With a focus on practical community engagement, participants will spend six months at Allegheny Farm, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in partnership with local non-profits. Our goal is to promote equal access to food education while fostering community resilience, and we do not charge tuition to ensure everyone can participate. Applications are due in March for the May-October experience.
